The object of the association is to bring together all Odiya speaking people & those who are interested in associating themselves with the activities of Utkal Sanskrutika Samaj. It is a non-political body & therefore shall strictly confine itself to non-political activities & programmes.

Karthika Pournami is a Hindu festival that is celebrated on the full moon day (Pournami) in the month of Karthika, which usually falls in November. The festival is also known as Tripuri Pournami or Deva-Diwali. It is believed to be the day when Lord Shiva destroyed the three cities of demons, collectively known as Tripura. On this day, people take holy baths in rivers, offer prayers to Lord Shiva and light lamps to celebrate the victory of good over evil. The festival is particularly significant in South India, where it is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion.
